What does a second chance truly look like? Anger's Bitch is a deeply introspective novel that explores the messy, beautiful, and often painful work of healing. The story follows Lyndon “Gib” Gibson, a man defined by a single act of violence from his past, who is unexpectedly thrust into the national spotlight for an act of heroism. His journey is chronicled by Yolanda Jenkins, a successful journalist grappling with her own carefully constructed life and the fortress of agreeableness she’s built to shield herself from past public judgment.

Their lives intersect over the story of Elijah Johnson, a wise, quiet musician whose sixty years in prison became a crucible for profound self-discovery. Through his hard-won wisdom, the novel delves into the crucial distinctions between guilt and shame, the architecture of the “protective self,” and the Japanese art of Kintsugi—the idea that our broken places can be mended with gold, making us more beautiful, not in spite of our scars, but because of them.

Anger’s Bitch is a character-driven exploration of the resilience of the human spirit, the courage it takes to confront our deepest wounds, and the transformative power of finding your tribe.
